  • As per IMD, southwest monsoon 2025 is progressing well and has now covered all parts of India.

  • Rainfall so far is slightly above normal (around 106% of the long-period average).

  • A low-pressure area is likely to form over the north Bay of Bengal around July 23–25, expected to cause heavy rainfall over parts of eastern and central India.

  • No signs of El Niño or La Niña disruptions; neutral oceanic conditions currently support a stable monsoon.

🔵 North & Northwest India

States: Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand

  • Delhi-NCR: Intermittent showers expected throughout the week. Temperatures will range from 31°C to 35°C. Slight humidity will remain, but rain will offer relief.

  • Punjab & Haryana: Mostly dry in the west, but scattered rains are expected in central and eastern zones.

  • Himachal & Uttarakhand: Heavy rain likely in hilly regions. Landslide alerts are in effect in vulnerable areas.

  • Uttar Pradesh: Eastern UP will see more frequent showers, while western parts remain dry and warm.

  • Rajasthan: Light to moderate rain expected only in eastern districts. Western Rajasthan remains dry and hot.

🟢 Central India

States: Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra (Vidarbha), Gujarat

  • Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh: Moderate to heavy showers are expected, especially in eastern MP and southern Chhattisgarh.

  • Vidarbha: Farmers can expect a monsoon boost after a dry spell. Good rainfall predicted post-July 24.

  • Gujarat: Saurashtra and Kutch will remain mostly dry; however, southern Gujarat might receive light showers.

  • Northeast States: Rain will continue in most parts with occasional breaks. Localized flooding is possible in low-lying areas.
