Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur's partnership of 171 runs off 136 balls is the fastest 150+ run partnership made by an Indian pair in Women's ODI. The run rate of their partnership was 7.54. Earlier this record was in the names of Punam Raut and Deepti Sharma. Both of them had scored 320 runs on 273 balls against Ireland in 2017. During this period the run rate was 7.03.

Sports Desk, New Delhi. The second ODI match between India and South Africa women's team is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. South Africa won the toss and decided to bowl first. Opener Smriti Mandhana played a strong innings for India and scored her second consecutive century against South Africa.

Smriti Mandhana made a century partnership with captain Harmanpreet Kaur for the third wicket. There was a partnership of 171 runs between the two on 136 balls. Meanwhile, Smriti Mandhana scored her seventh century in ODI cricket and second consecutive century against South Africa.

While Mandhana has equaled Virat Kohli's record of scoring two or more centuries in a series against South Africa, she has become the first woman player to score the most centuries for India in ODIs. In this matter, Mandhana has equaled former Indian captain Mithali Raj.
